Coming Back To School.
Boom boom, boom boom.
My heart beats thoroughly as fast as a cheetah. I walk up to the car, getting ready to look for another school because I didn’t feel quite comfortable at Tautoro School. That reason is because I thought I was bullied a lot. We looked at several schools but none of them were schools that would’ve suited me.
My mum and her friend were talking to each other quietly about taking me back to Tautoro School but I wasn’t worried, after all it probably was the best school. A few days later my mum told me that we were coming back here.
And there we were, at last on our way back to Tautoro School. I was a little bit shy at first but I was alright. When we finally got here I was happy to be back but I was still a little bit shy to walk in the gate as I had been absent for such a long time. So my mum and her friend went in to talk to Miss Simeon. When they finished talking, I saw Miss Simeon walking to the car.
So we walked to her office and discussed why I was away. Once we were finished, Miss Simeon walked to the class to talk to some of the girls about what we talked about. While she was in there, Whaea Gaylene walked in with Miss Simeon with my bag and then she welcomed me back.
That’s when I figured out that Miss Simeon was talking to me so that I would feel more confident about coming back. So I just did what
I knew I was supposed to do, and I didn’t mind a bit. Whaea Gaylene walked with me back to class. Then I decided it was the best thing to do.
I was actually excited to be back after such a long time that I was away. Later on at lunch time the girls in my class were asking if I wanted to hangout with them and so I did. On my first day back I felt more welcome.
Kia ora Melody you're writing about going back to school was great it was highly specific and great it felt like I was there just watching a minute movie about your day, it must have been really hard to try and find a new school, for that you must have a lot of kaha!

ReplyDeleteHi Melody. I really like your use of words in your story. Maybe you could try add more punctuation.
ReplyDeleteI like your story but maybe next time use a better simile than " fast as a cheetah"
